Unladylike Adventures are for women who want to break out of what they’re told to be and do, and just do what they fucking want to.

We aren’t fearless, that doesn’t exist.

We aren’t perfect, that doesn’t exist.

We are women who are scared and do it anyway.

HI! I'M LAURA AND I HAVE A PhD IN BEING UNLADYLIKE.

My favorite thing is to watch women embrace their own lives, bodies, and desires.

Women can be grungy, sexy, adventurous, daring, assertive, and loud all at the same time.

Or none of these.

You alone get to choose.

I fell in love with backpacking and exploring because it gave me a sense of independence and empowerment.

I could do things.

On my own.

And have fun.

When I got home, I felt so powerful. If I could conquer backpacking in the mountains, what else could I take on?

And along the way, I found myself bringing my friends.

Teaching them how to backpack and watching before my very eyes as they too felt empowered and like a total bad ass to be honest.

I not only wanted to continue to share this magic, I knew I had to because watching those women grow inspired me to continue as well.

Along the way, I took on rock climbing, pole dancing, piano playing, ice skating, and never looked back at trying new things and looking like an idiot along the way.

I like to backpack and not shower for weeks on end but I also like to wear high heels and swing around a pole.

I GET TO DO BOTH CUZ I WANT TO.
